White House Down is an upcoming 2013 American action-thriller film directed by Roland Emmerich about an assault on the White House by aparamilitary group. SYNOPSIS

Frozen is an upcoming American 3D computer animated musical-fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale The Snow Queen. It will be the 53rd animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series. The film will feature the voices of Kristen Bell as Anna, Idina Menzel as Elsa the Snow Queen, and Jonathan Groff as Kristoff, in speaking as well as singing roles. The film is currently scheduled to be released on November 27, 2013.

SYNOPSIS

X-Men: Days of Future Past is an upcoming American superhero film co-written, produced and directed by Bryan Singer and featuring the X-Mencharacters appearing in Marvel Comics. It is intended to be the seventh installment in the X-Men film series. The screenplay is written by Simon Kinberg, Matthew Vaughn, and Jane Goldman, with Singer writing the story. The film is based on the 1981 Uncanny X-Men storyline “Days of Future Past” by Chris Claremont and John Byrne. It is the third X-Men film directed by Singer after 2000’s X-Men and 2003’s X2.

Acting as a sequel to both 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand and 2011’s X-Men: First Class, Days of Future Past includes cast members from both:Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, and Daniel Cudmore return from X-Men: The Last Stand, while James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult return from X-Men: First Class. Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Booboo Stewart, Fan Bingbing, Adan Canto and Evan Peters round out the film’s principal cast. Principal photography began in April 2013 in Montreal, Canada. The film is being shot in 3D. Moving Picture Company will be working on the visual effects of the film

World War Z (coming Soon)

SYNOPSIS

World War Z is a 2013 Action-apocalyptic film directed by Marc Forster and written by Matthew Michael Carnahan. It is based on the novel of the same name by Max Brooks.

Plan B Entertainment secured the film rights in 2007 and Forster was approached to direct. In 2009, Carnahan was hired to rewrite the script to the film. Filming began in July 2011 in Malta on an estimated $125 million budget, before moving to Glasgow in August 2011 and Budapest in October 2011. Originally set for a December 2012 release, the production suffered some setbacks. In June 2012, the film’s release date was pushed back and the crew returned to Budapest for seven weeks of additional shooting. Damon Lindelof was hired to rewrite the third act, but did not have the time to finish the script and Drew Goddard was hired to rewrite it. The reshoots were due to take place between September and October 2012.

World War Z had its premiere in London on June 2, 2013. It has been picked to open the 35th Moscow International Film Festival and is due to be released on June 21, 2013 in RealD 3D and IMAX 3D select theaters.

SYNOPSIS

Ricky Bagaskoro seorang pelajar SMA, cerdas dan kritis. Ayahnya adalah Bagas Notolegowo merupakan politikus ternama di Indonesia. Hubungan keduanya tidak mulus. Ricky tidak menyukai profesi sang ayah, sementara ayahnya berkeras maju ke pencalonan Presiden periode 2014 – 2019. Saat Bagas menginginkan melanjutkan sekolah ke universitas, Ricky menolak karena ingin mengajar di pedalaman Papua.

Karena ketidak hati-hatiannya, keinginan Bagas tidak berjalan lancar bahkan menjadi porakporanda. Bagas hancur. Ricky tergerak untuk menelusuri kasusnya. Upaya ini mempertemukan Ricky dengan Khrisna Dorojatun, pengacara idealis. Selain itu Ricky juga mulai dekat dengan Laras, anak Khrisna Dorojatun. After Earth (preview)

SYNOPSIS

After Earth is a 2013 American science fiction adventure drama film directed by M. Night Shyamalan that he co-wrote with Gary Whitta based on an original story idea by Will Smith, about a military father and son crash landed on Earth one thousand years after cataclysmic events forced humanity to abandon it for a new home planet. The teenage son must save his dying father by trekking alone across the hostile terrain, encountering highly evolved creatures and a ruthless alien beast along the way, to recover their rescue beacon and also prove that he can live up to his father’s reputation as a legendary soldier. It is the second film since The Pursuit of Happyness that stars real-life father and son Will and Jaden Smith, with Will Smith also producing via his company Overbrook Entertainment and distributed by Columbia Pictures. The film is available on IMAX and is the first film fromSony Pictures to be both shot and presented in 4K resolution.

4K SCREENING

Ryan Nakashima of Associated Press was generally impressed with 4K resolution picture quality, though the visual effects shots that comprised about a third of the movie were done in 2K resolution to save cost and time. Nakashima commented “I could see details I’ve never noticed before – the actors’ tiny skin imperfections, or Smith’s salt-and-pepper whiskers. In a distant shot of Smith’s son Jaden running down a riverbed, I was struck by how many small rocks were defined clearly from such a distance. Yet other shots that included computer-generated cityscapes or otherworldly creatures looked less sharp.” The cinematographer Peter Suschitzky was apologetic on that, saying “The movie is only half in true 4K. I’m sad about that. It still looks good.”
Scott Wilkinson of AVS was similarly impressed though did not enjoy the movie itself, commenting that “Even sitting too far away, the movie itself looked gorgeous—sharp as a tack with beautiful colors. The smallest details, such as Jaden Smith’s character in the far distance, somehow looked clearer than I would have expected under normal circumstances; I got the distinct impression that the image could have been blown up by quite a bit and no detail would have been lost. The CGI animals did look a bit artificial, but that didn’t bother me very much at all.”

Refrain yang diadaptasi dari novel laris karya Winna Efendi bercerita tentang perjalanan Niki (Maudy Ayunda) dan Nata (Afgansyah Reza) dalam menemukan cinta mereka. Niki dan Nata telah bersahabat sejak kecil. Keduanya saling melengkapi. Niki ada untuk Nata, Nata ada untuk Niki.

Setelah bertahun-tahun bersahabat, ada warna yang berbeda saat Niki dan Nata menginjak bangku SMA. Ada sosok Annalise (Chelsea Elizabeth Islan), siswi pindahan yang memberi warna baru dalam persahabatan mereka. Ada Oliver (Maxime Bouttier), kapten basket yang menjadi pacar pertama Niki.

Dan.. ada rasa yang mulai berubah. Nata menyayangi Niki lebih dari sahabat. Sayangnya, Nata tidak berani mengungkapkan perasaannya. SYNOPSIS

Film ini bercerita tentang Miko (Raditya Dika), orang yang percaya bahwa cinta itu menuntut dan tidak pernah bisa menerima seseorang apa adanya. I love you just the way you are itu justru tanda buat berpisah. Dan persis itulah yang ia rasakan saat ini, pada hubungannya dengan Putri (Anizabella Lesmana). Miko mulai mempertimbangkan untuk putus.

Hari itu Miko berencana untuk naik ke panggung stand up comedy. Dia ingin melakukan sesuatu yang bisa bikin hidupnya segar. Diragukan Rian (Ryan Adriandhy), kawannya, dia bisa bertahan di panggung atau tidak, Miko tak berhenti. Sebelum berangkat, Miko sempat kaget ketika menemukan kardus yang berisi barang-barang nostalgia peninggalan 21 mantan gebetan-nya.

Seharusnya kardus itu sudah dibuang oleh Mas Anca (Hadian Saputra), pembantunya. Namun sayang selama ini Miko lupa memberitahu dia dimana kardus itu disimpan. Dengan kesal akhirnya Miko pun membawa kardus itu pergi bersamanya. Dia berencana untuk membuang kardus itu nanti.

Sesampainya Miko di café stand up comedy, karena belum menemukan tempat untuk membuang kardus tersebut, Miko membawa kardus itu masuk bersamanya. Lalu dia naik ke atas panggung, dengan satu niat sederhana, menguasai panggung, ngoceh, melepas mumet. Namun niat tersebut terancam oleh dua ABG dimabuk cinta, Caca dan Kipli, yang duduk di paling depan dan sangat menyedot perhatian penonton.

Miko menahan kekesalannya. Namun saat dia mendengar Caca dan Kipli memanggil satu sama lain Ayah-Bunda, kesabarannya pun habis. Miko menepis materi stand up comedy-nya. Dia punya agenda, yaitu meyakinkan penonton bahwa love is overrated!

Untuk mendukung argumennya, Miko pun membawa kardus tadi ke atas panggung. Melalui barang-barang peninggalan mantan gebetan dan kisah unik di baliknya, Miko ingin bicara fakta: cinta sudah dihitung lebih ‘mahal’ dari seharusnya!

Walaupun pada awalnya Caca dan Kipli selalu menangkis argumen Miko, lama kelamaan Miko berhasil mengubah suasana café yang pink menjadi abu-abu ketika orang-orang mulai ikut skeptis pada cinta. Karena terbawa oleh suasana di atas panggung, Miko bahkan memutuskan Putri dengan cara yang gegabah: lewat twitter.

Tapi sebuah batu koral dalam kardus itu bikin Miko jungkir balik dan tunggang langgang. Apakah memang cinta bisa apa adanya? Atau harusnya, ada apanya? Zona nyaman yang sesungguhnya atau ruang penuh resiko yang harus selalu tumbuh?
